Obverse: the Farsi legend on the top reads: "Shahanshah Aryamehr said:" head of the monarch looking left in the center, below it two curve lines in Farsi reads " establishing the Iranian National Bank is one of the foundations of the Iranian independence", second line below  " 50th anniversary of the opening of the National bank of Iran Shahrivar 1357"

Reverse: head of Shah's father facing left in the center, over his head in Farsi reads: "Reza Shah the Great said": below bust in curve reads "Founding the National Bank of Iran was one of the oldest dreams of my people" below it 20 rials.

Weight: 9.12 gr. Diameter: 31.31 mm.

Comments: One of the last few coins struck before the end of Pahlavi dynasty. Shah had already left Iran when this coin was circulated. The last Shah's father, Reza Shah left Iran in 1941. His son, Muhammad Reza Shah succeed him till 1978.  He left the country in the late 1978, died and buried in Cairo, Egypt in July 27th 1980. This coin was made on the occasion of 50th years of Iranian National Bank that symbolizes the reign of the father and son.
