Obverse: The legend: Reza Shah Pahlavi, Shahanshah Iran above Arabic number 5 Rial in the center with the crown on the top center and the date below.

Reverse: The sun and lion holding a sword facing left and the legend five Rials below.

Notes: This type was minted from 1310 to 1313. After 1313 (1924), as it is being noted by KM catalogue, most coins dated 1311-13 are cut or punched over 1310 coins. This is an example of it. No more this large size coin minted for Reza Shah.
In 1322 (1943) 5-Rials minted again for his son, Muhammad Reza Shah but with the reduced weight of 8 gr.
