Denomination : Silver Denier. Mint : Blois.
Size : 20.5 x 21.6 mm. Weight : 1.32 grams.
Reference : Roberts-5056.
Grade : VF.
Obverse : Short cross with BESIS CASTRO around.
Reverse : A highly stylized human head with a single pellet in front that represents the inscription. On the prototype coins struck 200 years earlier, the head was very Roman style, and there was an inscription reading TVRONS. The pellet behind the head probably represents the O and is the only part of the inscription remaining of that earlier type.
