Alexius III Angelus-Comnenus billon trachy, 1195-1203 AD, 4.15gm, struck 1195-1197 AD, 33.4mm.  Obv: +KE R[O]HΘEI; bust of Christ facing, beardless and nimbate, five pellets in each arm of nimbus, wearing pallium and colobium, holding right hand in sign of benediction and holding scroll in left; IC XC overlined to left and right.  Rev: Crowned figures of emperor (on left) and St. Constantine facing, each wearing divitision and loros, each holding labarum and holding between them globus cruciger.  Sear BCV 2012.  EF, some flatness on the face of Christ, tiny hole too small to show on above photo, struck unusually well enough (note the obverse legend and a Θ between the heads of the reverse figures) to distinguish the coin as Sear 2012 rather than 2011 or 2013.
