Rev: M. Claudius Marcellus carrying a trophy to a tetrastyle temple, "MARCELLVS" to right, "COS QUINQ" on left.

This type references two events in the moneyer's family history.  M Claudius Marcellus was consul five times.  In 222BC, he dedicated the spoils he had taken from the Gauls in the temple of Jupiter Feretrius.  In 211BC, he captured the city of Syracuse.
