Description: A nice coin minted to commemorate the defeat of the Nabatean King Aretas III, supporter of the Jewish leader John Hyrcanus II in his battles against his brother Aristobulus II. Thr general who secured the victory for Rome is also mentioned on the coin as Marcus Scaurus, one of Pompey's generals.
