Obverse: HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian left.
Reverse: COS III PP CLEMENTIA S C, Clementia standing left holding patera and sceptre.

The only documented example of this coin is in the BMC Catalogue where Mattingly mentions it as belonging to the L.A. Lawrence Collection. The British Museum acquired much of that collection in 1946 and later but not the noted coin. It is assumed the coin was sold in 1951 by Glendining's, either lot 1108 or 1109 (which were multiple lots). As no photo exists it cant be determined if the coin offered here was the one originally seen by Mattingly or of it is a second example. So, possibly unique.
