Comments
This coin was struck in Kora under the auspices of the Nawab of Awadh, Shuja-ud-Daula. This was before Awadh ceded Kora to Shah Alam in AH 1178. Shuja-ud-Daula was the Grand Vazir of the Mughal empire and was the power behind the installation of Ali Gauhar (Shah Alam) on the throne.

As is common for these coins, only the first two digits (11) of the AH date are visible, but the regnal year date of 3 is unlisted in KM. A SUPERB example; the obverse is particularly stunning.

From the collection of Alan DeShazo, the noted numismatist and author of several papers on Islamic coins.
