Size: 32.2 x 32.8 mm.  Weight: 23.15 grams.
 
Grade: good FINE but slightly rough.
 
Obverse: Head of Trajan right, with  IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V PP around. 
 
Reverse: Trajan standing left on low daïs with a prefect standing behind, addressing four citizens.  Genius of the Circus reclining right, holding a meta set on a base at the end of the circus spina, with SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI  around and S C below.
 
This is one from a series of coins commemorating a restoration of the Circus which was completed in AD 103 after it had be damaged in the fire of AD 80.  My image of this coin is fairly accurate to the detail actually clear on the coin. 
  
Provenance:  I bought it from an old time Calgary collection (MS) in the spring 2015. ex. CNG mail bid 67, lot 1415 in September of 2004.
