Arghun is the son of Abaqa, and grand son of Hulaqu, who sacked baghdad and executed the last Abbassid caliph Al-Musta'sim in 656 AH/1258AD.The reverse has UIGHUR script, with the name of ARGHUN (partially clear on this coin) written in Arabic in the lower part but with the same style of the Uighur to form one unit of calligraphy.
