77RE1) Afsharid, Ibrahim, before his formal enthronment, 1161 AH / 1748 AD, AR one abbasi (4 Shahi) 4.6 grms, 21 mm, struck at QAZWIN in 1160 AH,  This is an anonymous coin with the evocation of "Ya Ali ibn-e Musa al-Reza". Steve Album attributes this coin to Ibrahim before his formal enthronement in AH1161 (December 8th 1748). A-2762, in VF cond.

Ibrahim was Nadir Shah's nephew who was helping Shahrukh, Nadir's grandson, to become the king against his own brother Adilshah. But once he defeated and blinded his own brother, Ibrahim proclaimed himself the king but was killed in turn by Shahrukh in AH1162 (November 1749). This is a historical coin but considered  among the common coins of Afsharids.
