Karim Khan coins are all basically anonymous. They lack specific reference to him and his dynasty. They are identifiable by date and style and evocation of "ya Karim" a reference to one of God's title meaning generous and also the name of the khan himself. Coins with the evocation of "ya Karim" dated after 1193AH belong to the other Zand Khans. obverse is the Farsi couplet: "Shod Afta�b-O-Ma�h, zar-O-sim dar Jahan / az sekkee-ye Emam be-haqq Sahib-oz-Zamman �, meaning; �the Sun & the Moon became gold and silver In the world / from the rightful Imam (the 12th Shi�a leader) the owner of the time�.
