Victoria (1837-1901), silver Proof Groat, 1862, struck with the Threepence obverse with hair covering top of ear, young filleted head left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA F: D:, rev. struck en medaille, Britannia seated right with trident and shield, date in exergue, FOUR PENCE legend surrounding, edge plain (Bull 3357 R5; ESC 1955B R5; Davies 1235; S.3913). Attractively toned, has been graded and slabbed by CGS UK as UNC 90, extremely rare.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
