Uncertain Greek Bronze AE12 (Phoenicia Berytos ?) "Poseidon & Dolphin" Very Rare

Ancient Coins - Uncertain Greek Bronze AE12 (Phoenicia Berytos ?) "Poseidon & Dolphin" Very Rare
zoom view
Phoenicia, Berytos (Berytus). Circa 2nd Century BC. Obverse: Head of Poseidon right, trident behind. Reverse: Dolphin swimming right. BMC: - Very Rare. Size: 12mm, 1.68g. Numismatic Notes: A rare and interesting type that I have tentatively attributed to Berytos. This may very well be a completely erroneous attribution, but the dolphin and Poseidon are common to the coinage of Berytos. The legends on the reverse, however, do not point at all to Berytos. If you have any information regarding this coin, please let me know.
