Rev.: DIC Q F RVF PROCOS PONTIFE, sacrificial implements. RPC 2107; (This coin illustrated) Rec. gen. 75a. Very Rare. Sulpicius was consul in 51 BC, during the Civil War between Julius Caesar and Pompey’s faction. Aligned with Caesar, he was appointed proconsul of Achaea in 46. He died while on a mission from the Senate to Mark Antony in 43 BC.
