Comments
This coin belongs to the so-called Yashaditya series, a Hunnic or post-Hunnic kingdom that existed in northern Sind and southern Punjab (Multan area) during the 6th-8th centuries. Fishman and Todd discovered this new king and published his coins in their 2018 book. They identified him as Jayasimha of the Chach dynasty of Alor.

The coin has a nice portrait, and parts of the legend are visible ... much better than most of the coins of the series. Fishman and Todd don't focus on the most interesting feature of the coins of Rana Vigraha - some of his coins (like this one) have portraits very similar to those we see on the coins of Yashaditya, while others have a rather unique type of portrait that has an arc above the face.

A CHOICE example of a RARE type!
