This is the only Hyderabad coin type that is holed in the center ... a CHOICE specimen! Note also the date on this coin ... it is a post-1947 issue, that is, it was issued after India's independence. Indeed, Hyderabad State was incorporated into the Indian Union on September 18, 1948. The AH year 1368 started on November 3, 1948. Thus this coin was issued after Hyderabad was already part of the Indian Union. An interesting piece of Indian history! |
