DN CONSTANTIVS IVN NOB CAES, bare-headed, draped, cuirassed bust right, A behind head / FEL TEMP-REPARATIO, soldier spearing fallen horseman with bare head and long beard, reaching backwards. II (or A recarved from earlier die known from coins of Constantius II only, RIC.VIII.251-54, with same mintmark scheme, evidenced by traces of old design around horseman, peaked cap and raised second arm by control mark, relative high level of high relief, fresh detail with areas of die wear, rejuvenation of legend) in left field above head of fallen horseman. 21mm, 5.33g. Mintmark •BSIS•. RIC VIII. 345. Possibly unlisted use of reverse control mark A on a numbered control issue. Very Fine.
