The following wildcard shortcuts may be used in any search term:
* to match any number of characters
? to match a single character

Any combination of the advanced search fields may be used to refine a search. For example:
Any of these words: hadrian sabina
Exact phrase: “rome mint”
Exclude: denarius
finds all Rome mint items that contain “Hadrian” or “Sabina”, but not “denarius”

Note
All searches automatically make use of the VCoins synonym dictionary to improve effectiveness. This feature is important in situations where terms may have multiple spellings. For example, the city of Akragas is also known as Acragas, Agrigentum, and Agrigento. A search on any one of these terms will show results for all the terms. Please contact us if you know of synonym pairs that we should include.
