A SCARCE and interesting coin and one of the BEST examples we have handled. Deeply and boldly struck!

This is the ONLY coin type ever issued in the name of Claudia, Nero's daughter, who died in infancy 63 C.E. His wife Poppaea is also named on the coin. She is described as a "god fearer" by Josephus. In fact she interceded with Nero several times on behalf of the Judaeans. It is logical that Agrippa a Jewish king would want to show her honor, as well of course as his benefactor Nero.
