Obverse:� Chalice surrounded by inscription "To the redemption of Zion"� Reverse: Lulav (palm branch) flanked by two etrogim (citrons), inscription around "Year Four"

Nice and affordable historic coin, with COMPLETE inscriptions, struck the last year before the conquest of Jerusalem and the destruction on the Temple. This coin is inscribed "to the redemption of Zion" instead of the earlier "to the freedom", bearing a Messianic message. Evidence indicates that it was struck in a second mint under the command of Simon Bar Giora. Simon was later executed by the Romans with the downfall of Jerusalem.
