ANTIOCHOS VIII SELEUCID BRONZE
SNG Spaer 2663, SC 2342, Ch. VF, 18mm, 6.68 grams, Circa. 121 - 96 B.C.E.
A RARE type for Antiochos VIII and VERY SHARP under a thick natural earthen patina too beautiful to clean. Newell mentions that the mint might be Damascus. Hoover, Lorber and Houghton agree with the possibility but write that it still cannot be proven.
