Scotland, William and Mary (1688-94), silver Five Shillings, 1694, conjoined laureate and draped busts left, value V below, actually an inverted A, legend and toothed border surrounding, inverted A for second V in King's name, GVLIELMVS. ET. MARIA. DEI. GRA., rev. struck en medaille, crowned W&M cypher, date in legend, MAG. BR. FR. ET. HIB. REX. ET. REGINA. 1694., weight 2.29g (Burns 2, fig.1071; S.5665). Toned, some light hairline scratches, very fine for issue, scarce.
 
The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "William and Mary by the grace of God," and on the reverse as "King and Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland,"
