CONSTANTINE II. (AD 337-340)
Obverse: CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C
Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust left.
Reverse: PROVIDENTIAE CAESS
Campgate, two turrets, star above.
Exergue: STRE
Mint City: Trier. Minted AD 327-328
Reference: RIC VII 505
Beautiful deep green patina with silvering spots still present. Although it is supposed to be STRE, the E appears to be a different symbol. Perhaps just an engraver error? Very young chubby portrait, at age 11 or 12.
