The Paphos monogram found on the Tetradrachms assigned to the mint of Paphos in Cyprus ( see Price Pl.LXXXIX 3118-3123 ) differs slightly to that on this coin. However a significant number of these drachmas are found on Cyprus to secure an attribution to the island.( information from A.Pitsillides, President Cyprus numismatic society ). This issue is likely to have been struck at Paphos by Ptolemy I Soter 323-285/4 BC.
