This is a nice Roman terra sigilatta perfume vase.

It is Roman, dated 2nd cent AD.

This vase was used to hold flagrant oils.
It was placed in a grave with a deceased woman.
The height is 6,4 cm, the upper edge is 2 cm, the edge beneath is 2,2 cm and the belly is 4,3 cm.
The weight is 35 gram.
It is completely intact and no restaurations have been made.
Partly cleaned but still some soil remains are visible.
The vase has been found in a grave in Germany.
From a Belgium private collection.
These vases were used by man and women to hold cosmetic products.
These vases were used for dayly use, especially after bathing.
Very rare so nice condition!
