Zoilos I was a late contemporary and possible opponent of Menander I. The likely context for Zoilos' rise to power was the chaos created by the murder of Eukratides in c. 145 BC.
 
All of Zoilos' coins are rare. This variety with his name ΖΩIΛOY written in a curved line is rated as R3 (Extremely Rare) by HGC.
 
Sharply struck on a broad flan with a wonderful depiction of Herakles. RRR and SUPERB.
