Vagi - Coinage and History of the Roman Empire, 2 Vol. Set - Virtually New

Ancient Coins - Vagi - "Coinage and History of the Roman Empire", 2 Vol. Set - Virtually New
zoom view

This is a great 2 volume set published in 1999 by the well respected classical numismatist, David Vagi. This book is probably best used for it's detailed historical references but is also effective as a solid primer on Roman coinage. Although not all coin types for each Emperor are listed, there is still much good information (including valuation guidelines in 3 grades) for many coin types.

Of special importance, there is some information here that is not available in print anywhere else. The "Pagan Coinage of the Great Persecution" and "Festival of Isis" coinage is covered here with valuations and solid technical details making this set a must for the Late Roman Bronze enthusiast.

This is an important 2 volumes set to have in your ancient coin library. They come from a friend in our coin club who is down-sizing his library and are used but I can't find any evidence of it. Virtually as new with full dust jackets.

Domestic shipping will be $6 for Media Mail and $12 for Parcel Post. Please, no overseas shipments.
