A piece of cast lead with the impression of the laureate bust of Carausius hldg eagle tipped sceptre.  Probably used in the manufacture of forged lead aureus which would have been gold foiled. 
Even white patina and it makes a very good impression as seen on the blue putty. 
Found 30 years ago in Hampshire. 
The lead is 42mm at it's widest point. 
VERY RARE.
