Obverse In Farsi the legend reads: Shod Aftab-O-Mah, zar-O-sim dar Jahan/az sekkee-ye Emam be-haqq Sahib-oz-Zamman, meaning; the Sun & the Moon became gold and silver/ from the rightful Imam (the 12th Shi'a leader) the owner of the time, with date.
Reverse The mint inside cartouche with ruler's evocation "ya Karim" on top.
