Date Struck AH(117)5(sic). this type (B) for this mint was struck only in 1175 (according to KM #515 & Farahbakhsh 277 (11). However Album (#2798) states that this type was made in Rasht from 1173-78. Number 5 is clearly visible on this coin as the last digit over the T of Rasht.

Obverse In Farsi the legend reads: Shod Aftab-O-Mah, zar-O-sim dar Jahan/az sekkee-ye Emam be-haqq Sahib-oz-Zamman, meaning; the Sun & the Moon became gold and silver/ from the rightful Imam (the 12th Shi'a leader) the owner of the time.
Reverse Mint & Date.
