Comments The so-called "Bombay fabric" coins are relatively recent discoveries from hoards found in Bombay and Ahmedabad, but only coins of Damasena are known and recognized. There are also coins of Rudrasena II that meet the criteria for this type. The coins are of lighter weight and do not carry dates or the blundered Greek legends on the obverse, while the reverse Brahmi legends are frequently blundered. No coin of this type has been recorded for Vijayasena. This coin has a full, good reverse legend with Vijayasena's name very clear and is therefore an important addition to the Western Kshatrapa series. Note also that the positions of the reverse sun and moon have been reversed! A prize for the advanced collector.
