Comments This is a new type of punchmarked coin from the Vidarbha janapada. It is similar to Rajgor 16, incorrectly attributed to the Andhra janapada because that coin type was known from a single hoard found in Andhra. There have now been multiple finds of similar coins in Vidarbha. See Prashant P. Kulkarni's paper "Coins of Vidarbha Janapada" in the ONS Newsletter, 178, Winter 2004, although the present type is not listed in Kulkarni's paper.
