Comments This is an example of the more often seen Wodeyar "Kanthirava" fanam, in which the lion's face has become stylized into six dots. However, on this coin, the face is represented by 15 (!) dots (perhaps 6 of them represent a nimbus?) plus the legend on these coins is normally completely blundered; on this coin, however, we clearly see some of the letters of the underlying legend: RARE thus!
