The Mughal style coinage was commenced in Bombay in 1717. The five-petalled flower with stem became the mintmark for Bombay in 1735, during the reign of Muhammad Shah, and was continued in the reigns of Ahmad Shah Bahadur and 'Alamgir II. This coin is a RARE type, year 2 is UNLISTED in Pridmore and KM, and the coin is in CHOICE condition. |
