Thomas Wyatt: Memoires of the Generals, Commodores and Other Commanders who distinguished themselves in the Army and Navy during the Wars of the Revolution and 1812 and who were presented with medals by Congress for their gallant services, Philadelphia, 1848, 315 pages, 14 plates of medals executed by the medal ruling machine, frontis and title page foxed, some light foxing throughout, red cloth richly decorated in gilt, all edges gilt, front board detached. Good to very good or about average for this work rarely found fine. The earliest work on American medals, the plates were prepared by W. L. Orsmby using the Medal Ruling Device first seen six years earlier in the Mint Manual by Eckfeldt & DuBois.
