The reverse inscription on this type means "League of Galatia".  This is a large coin, and appears to be an un-published denomination of this type.

Denomination : 33 mm bronze.  Mint : Uncertain mint in Galatia.

Date : ca. AD 98 to 117.

Reference : A much smaller (ca. 10 gram) version of this type but with Trajan radiate instead of laureate is listed by G. Stumpf, Numismatische studies chronology of the Roman governor in Asia Minor (1986) 476 and in SNG BN 2418 (corr.), but to the best of my knowledge this larger denomination is not a published type.

Size : 32.7 x 33.1 mm.  Weight : 23.33 grams.

Grade : VF with a dark brown patina, but someone got a little careless with the cleaning and cleaned down to bare metal on the high points, and left many fine cleaning scratches in the fields.  But still an attractive specimen which many be unique.

Obverse : Head of Trajan right with AUTKRA NEROUA TRIANW KAI SERBAS GERMA around.

Reverse : Men (a local god) standing left which a crescent on his shoulder, holding out a patera, with KOINON GALATIAS EPI PONPWNIOU BASSO around (I am not 100% certain how the breaks in the middle part of the inscription occure).
