Thasos was a city in Thrace on the Island of Thasos.  These coins were struck under Roman rule, after Thasos was incorporated into the Roman Province of Macedonia.

Grade : VF with a few light marks.  Excellent style for this issue.

Obverse : Head of Dionysos right, wearing a wreath of ivy in his hair.

Reverse : Herakles standing left, holding a club, with a lion's skin over his arm, with HRAKLEOUS SWTHROS QASIWN around, with an M between Herakles' leg and club.
