This type is normally attributed to Thasos, but from what I have been told these coins are not actually found on the Island of Thasos, but rather on the mainland opposite the Island and my be a local tribal coinage of that region.

Size : 20.7 x 21.0 mm. Weight : 8.98 grams

Grade : gVF with a strong strike and nicely centred for the issue. Very good metal quality.
Obverse : Naked Satyr carrying a struggling nymph.
Reverse : Quadripart square.
