These small coins are commonly known as wire money as they were struck on flans cut from lengths of wire.  All have shear marks at the ends, resulting from how the wire was cut up.  The flans are generally smaller than the dies, so only very rarely will very well centered specimens with everything on the flan be encountered (never for some issues).

Denomination : Silver Kopek.

Date : The date is off the flan on this specimen.

Size : 9.3 x 10.7 mm.  Weight : 0.29 grams.  This is a fairly small coin.

Grade : VF, with typical fragmentary designs.

Obverse : Horseman riding right.

Reverse : Cyrillic inscription naming Peter as Czar.

Below is a composite of most of the reverse inscription as it might have appeared on the dies, although the exact letter forms on each die could vary considerably, and so this is only a theoretical die.   One think that can cause confusion, is that the T in PETER often looks more like an M on many specimens.
