Obverse : Laurate head of Jupiter right, with S C behind and a B (dot) below his chin.

Reverse : Victory driving a quadriga right with Q ANTO BALB below (some of the letters are ligate and a couple off the flan), with P R below that.

The S C behind Jupiter's head indicates this coin was struck by special authority of the Senate, which in this case was because the moneyer was a praetor as indicated by the PR at the bottom of the reverse.  The type is throught to have been issued by the factions opposed to the return of Sulla to Rome.
