Date : This type was struck by Mithradates VI of Pontus ca. 83 to 82 BC, and is one of the last types issued in the Alexander the Great style tetradrachm series.

Size : 28.7 x 29.2 mm. Weight : 16.21 grams grams (struck to the old Macedonian weight standard, rather than the Attic standard used for earlier Alexander style coins).
Grade : gVF with a very nice portrait. Very well centered.
Obverse : Head of Herakles right, wearing the lion's skin. What makes this series different is that the facial features are clearly those of Mithradates IV.
Reverse : Zeus seated left, holding a sceptre and eagle, with BASILEWS to the right, ALEXANDROU to the left, LA below the arm, and the mint mark ODH (Odessa) below
