Denomination : Silver drachm.

Reference : Similar to Sear-3696, but without the aplustre in front of the face.

Size : 17.1 x 18.5 mm. Weight : 4.95 grams.

Sear lists the weight of this series at 6.0 grams, but sometime toward 300 BC there was a weight standard change to drachms with an average weight of closer to 5.0 grams.

Grade : aXF with attractive toning.

Obverse : Head of the Nymph Sinope left, wearing a necklace and earrings.

Reverse : Sea eagle flying left holding a dolphin, with magistrates name FAGE below the wing, with SINW below the dolphin.
