Denomination : Bronze unit (we don't know what they called these).

Date : These are thought to be the first coins struck in Nepal, ca. AD 576 to 605.

Size : 27.6 x 28.5 mm.  Weight : 13.56 grams.

Grade : good Fine.  Dark brown patination, with some areas of green encrustation on the obverse, and reddish brown on the reverse..

Obverse : Lakshuma seated forward on lotus.

Reverse :  Lion standing left, with one paw raised.

I don't have the reference available for this type, but I bought it from Steve Album with this attribution, and I have no reason to believe it is not correct.  It is Very similar to the earliest coins of Nepal listed by Mitchiner (None Islamic #197) but with different inscriptions.
