Denomination : AE 12.

Date : ca. 210 to 230 BC

Size : 12.0 x 13.0 mm   Weight : 1.36 grams.   This is a fairly small coin.

Reference : SNG Keckman 228-231.   Sear 4911.

Grade : VF/F with a corrosion spot on the trident.  Glossy very dark green patina.

Obverse : Horse walking right.

Reverse : Ornamented trident pointing DOWN with M Y to the sides.  When I imaged this coin I just assumed the trident pointed up, as you will see on many other dealers listings for this type.  But the inscription postion only makes sense if the trident is ment to point down.   One day I may re-do the image.

We stand behind the authenticity of our coins. Grading is subjective and the grade assigned may vary between numismatic professionals. The image is the best indicator of the grade.
