Philip II was the father of Alexander the Great.

Denomination : 16 mm bronze.

Reference : Sear-6696 variety.  SNG ANS 947 variety (bust right instead of left).

Size : 15.6 x 16.3 mm.  Weight : 6.42 grams.

Grade : VF with a glossy very dark brown (almost black) patination.  NICER THAN THE IMAGE SUGGESTS.  But it is off center with most of the ethnic off the flan.

Obverse : Head of Apollo right.

Reverse : Boy riding a horse which is prancing right, with FILIPPOU above, and G below the belly.  However, the only part of the inscription visible is a tiny tip of the bottom of the Y.
