Denomination : Silver tetradrachm.  Mint : Arados.

Date : Price dates this issue from 328 to 320 BC, so it can be considered a lifetime issue as it begins during Alexander's life.

Reference : Price-3107.  Sear-6721 variety.

Size : 23.1 x 24.1 mm.  Weight : 17.17 grams.

Grade : gVF and well-centered.  Lightly toned.

Obverse : Head of Herakles right, wearing the lion's skin with an M behind his neck.  Having a letter on the obverse of an Alexander tetradrachm is a very unusual feature.

Reverse : Zeus seated left, holding a sceptre and eagle with an AR below the throne, and ALEXANDROU to the right.

This is a fairly scarce type, there is only one listing for it in coinarchives, which is this coin when it was sold by Lanz in 2006.
