Denomination : Silver tetradrachm.  Mint : tentatively attributed to Byblos, although I suspect Arados is more likely.

Date : Price dates this issue from 330 to 320 BC, and while Alexander died in 323 this can be considered a lifetime issue.

Reference : Price-3426.

Size : 26.0 x 27.5 mm.  Weight : 17.18 grams.

Grade : aXF with a strong strike, and good metal.

Obverse : Head of Herakles right, wearing the lion's skin.

Reverse : Zeus seated left, holding a sceptre and eagle, with an AR monogram below his arm, with ALEXANDROU to the right.
