The  cruder die work on this example is typical of the specimens struck by Persus in Macedonian some time around 168 BC, to finance his fight against the Romans.

Denomination : Silver tetrobol.

Reference :  Type as Sear Greek - 2496 to 2498 variety, but as per his comments on the series following #2498.

Size : 13.7 x 14.3 mm. Weight : 1.53 grams.

Grade : VF/F

Obverse : Head of the nymph Histiaia right.

Reverse : The nymph Histiaia seated right on the stern of a galley, holding a naval standard, with ISTIAIEWN around starting at 5 o'clock.
