Denomination : Silver tetradrachm drachm.  Date : 297 to 281 BC.

Reference : Sear-6814-6816 variety

Size : 29.0 x 31.1 mm.  Weight : 17.19 grams.

Grade : gVF with original hoard toning.

Obverse : Head of Alexander right, wearing a Ram's horn.

Reverse : Athena seated left holding a small figure of Nike, with a transverse spear on her shoulder, with BASILEWS LUSIMACOU to the sides.  There is a small Greek letter AP monogram in the left field, and a small K in the exergue.

The purple toning is an original hoard patination of silver chloride, which could be removed by in my opinion this coin is attractive this way and should be left as is.
